I don’t know if you guys know that I have fell disenchanted with rap music lately.  Everybody that loves Lil Wayne now, he was actually better before when all he did was rap.  I owned albums of his before he became weird.  I think all rappers talk about is clubs, money, sex which is pretty lame when there are genre bands out there like The Killers and Yeah Yeah Yeahs who can talk about other things.  I guess it’s a culture thing but I seriously have fell out from the culture mainly because of the lack of new talent.  I’m still interested in Jay Z, Em, Raekwon, and other established rappers but the new guys have not gotten me excited enough to say rap is in a better place.

After saying that though, I’m always excited when I see Mos Def doing something.  That guy is the man who constantly does new music and keeps thing fresh.  Very cool trailer of an upcoming film by Michael Sterling Eaton.  Once I get more info on this I’ll let you guys know.
