I was really thinking about this look to try out Saturday when I was in Vegas. It is a borrowed look from the typical Vegas club goer but rather than a cheap suit and shiny ugly colored dress shirt, you use a Gingham shirt, patterned suit, and pocket square gives this style a more hip look which is far above the douchebaggery of Vegas.

I always find these celebrity interviews to be a good read. You read about these young celebs try to portray themselves as human as possible but to a extreme length. For example, many of the interviews always feature the celebs that haven’t made a name for themselves yet, talk about how Nietschze or any philosophical heroes are a major influence in their life and then they stare off into nothingness. It’s B.S. to me when people act the “emo” way. It gives the appearance of intelligence and self-awareness but to me, it’s a person that do not understand the path they are heading.

We all had moments in our life where we question and wonder what it is all meant, but that is the easy way of approaching life. Every good story has a beginning and end, but the key is the journey in between. Michelle Williams, at 31, with one child, and no Heath, still does not realize how good she got it and constantly have to put on display this struggling soul for us to read. It can be all an act, it could be for real, but ol’ girl needs to get a clue and just enjoy life.

Most of the time, I get into how hot Michelle Williams is, and probably make jokes here and there but this is a testimonial to how good Chris Heath approached this article. When you make me drop my normal approach and become involved with the subject, you know you did a good job.

The article is definitely worth the read at GQ.com. I’m pretty sure most of you won’t, and just go to the slideshow. How do I know this? Google Analytic told me 62% of my readers are illiterate…

Check out GQ’s interview with Mark Wahlberg on what he’s been up too with the movie Contraband and his producing work with Entourage and the recently defunct (happily so by me) How To Make It in America. Two things I got from this interview. One, actors take their craft too seriously. Here’s my take on actors. You get paid millions of dollars to act like somebody else. Why is that important? Two, whoever says “Entourage episodes are too short” is missing a key component of the human genomics that caps off the level of douche-dom intake per episode. It’s a serious problem that is destroying the country….

I just love women that have personality. And not that personality where they tell people that they are “goofy” or “fun”. My experience have always been that the chick is so hot that guys will laugh and encourage how fun they are when they are really not. It’s like these chicks never had to work on their personality because they are unaware that the guy over-laughing at their joke is just trying to have sex with her.

Kristen Wiig according to Jon Hamm is that shy girl that “can go to the craziest, most grotesque places on the planet in character”. Now that’s a chick that I’m interested in! Here’s Jay-Z looking sharp in a black and white suit. On the topic of black and white suits, that color pattern has somewhat become a gimmick. I think the suit looks really sharp and I would sport it myself, but when I do, it feels somewhat out of place. I guess it’s because of the Tarantino movies or it’s the preferred color for funerals but I just don’t feel comfortable wearing it anymore unless I add some color to it.

Before you say I love Glee, let me set this straight. I really, really don’t. I hate musicals. I just hate the fact that people break out in song and dance. And I just don’t know why GQ is so into it with its constant promotion but whatever.

They got this kid Shum dressed pretty dope with that Christmas sweater. I was looking at this type of suit yesterday on Boardwalk Empire and told myself how fitting the tweed fabric is for the winters. The suit is made by J.Crew and its not the tweed fabric which is a good thing because that material gets hot in the warmer climates. The socks are dope! I always suggest that if you go flashy, you go with socks because it hides if you are standing still but it shows when you walk.

I tell people I do a lot of cocaine which is funded by my school loans. And let me reiterate my statement from earlier, “I do not like Glee!”

Justin Theroux’s “Beard Afficionado” in GQ

You know why these clothes look good? It’s not because he is thin, or because his beard channels awesomess (it does help), but because it fits well. That’s it! It’s not rocket science but for some of the fat, lazy, close-minded American men, this is foreign to them. I am surrounded by them.

To everybody’s surprise, I don’t surround myself with friend’s that are well dressed. If I can sum up their style, it is the 90′s baggy clothes/gangster look. They call it comfort, and they are attesting that they need room in the crotch area and the reason why my pants are “tighter” is because Asian people have small balls and penis…. note to self “Get new friends.”

I think the best dresser out of all my friends and that’s not saying much, is my friend Art. He has his own style and I’m pretty sure he buys his clothes at the same place he buys his hammer; so he can see how they look together. But he has a man’s style that fits his nature. The rest of my friends are stuck in a vortex of fashion mediocrity, and am I afraid they are going to read this? Fuck no. I’m still skeptical that they actually know how to operate the internet and if half of them can read.

Go to the slideshow at GQ.com, review the pictures than come back…. Yeah I will never ever sport shorts with dress socks and dress shoes. But I guess in the name of comedy, than Donald Glover must do it. All the other clothes he was sporting? Dope ass shit! The preppy style look mixed in with some color gives the ol’ Harvard style an upgrade. Too bad college students don’t actually dress like this.

Here at CSUF, the dress code is comfort, I mean really comfort. A dirty ass shirt, basketball shorts, and flip flops. If you keep the bed hair or wear your pajamas, than its a plus in the college realm. My stylish socks that I sport with my preppy/skater look is too much for these sock-less 99-cents store sandal wearing students. But hell, it takes only one person to force everybody to reexamine their wardrobe. I haven’t seen the winter here yet at CSUF but I expect over-sized hoodie sweaters and probably a plastic shopping bag over the head when it rains. You laugh, but I’m serious with how some of the students dress here.

GQ’s Dos and Don’ts of Men’s Fashion by Women

Mindy Kaling and Emmanuelle Chriqui was one of the few ladies that GQ asked what they like men to wear. I’m going to stop them right there. Women do not know what looks good on a man. If the woman was a designer or related to the fashion industry, than I would heed their advice, but regular women are just the same as everybody else.

This is the same principle of men “putting the pussy on the pedestal”. We want to get laid so we ask the woman or similar to the one we want to have sex with what looks good on us. All of a sudden, the general woman thinks she is a fashionista and assume she has a clue what a man looks good in. The man submits and assumes the position of getting suckered into wearing that too much chest V-neck shirt or wearing a dress shirt that is unbuttoned and untucked with some pleated pants just because every male at the club dresses like that. You must re-assume your balls men and understand that women do not wear men’s clothing.

My experience with this is the woman wants you to become an accessory to them… just like a purse. Women will suggest you wear clothes that coincide with what type of chick they are, which is either a club girl, hipster, sporty, etc. They will never suggest you would look good in any other style because they have never worn men’s clothing or even dealt with guys on a daily that has a different style.

So if you want to get a true advice on what would looks good on you, find a male friend that have some sense of style, a friend in the fashion industry, or pick up a issue of GQ. Stop putting the pussy on the pedestal and dress and act like a damn man! If you don’t believe me, read the article and look at how each woman defines whats cool and see how it relates to them. Now if GQ ask me what would look good on a woman, I will tell them straight up. Nothing and I’m pretty sure that’s the consensus for the general population of straight men.
