I was out Sunday fighting crime in San Diego and while eating some fantastic fish tacos at Mama Testa’s, I came up with three observations. One, Mama Testa was in the middle of San Diego’s gay district, which provided some hilarious homophobic uneasiness. Two, I wanted tarter sauce on my fish tacos but did not say anything in fear of backlash from my Mexican coworkers and ridiculously hot waitress with the sexy hairstyle and voice. Three, the totally bearded dudes sporting the work wear clothing.
Maybe its the result of the economy, or maybe men decided that the New Jersey Shore look was plain tacky. Whatever it is, fashion is going in the right direction. These Thom Browne designed shirt for Supreme fits the typical work shirt. I had one of these when I was welding armor onto HUMVEES in Kuwait. I’m pretty sure this material isn’t as tough, but it has the same style. The texture of the fabric gives it that toned down look which is a much better alternative than the dress shirt look.
Look for these shirts to be available Mar. 25 at supremenewyork.com. Definitely be getting that charcoal black one.
*Update, this shirt cost $195. No I will not be getting this motherfuckin’ shirt. But I will dream about it.
