3sixteen Spring 10 Lookbook

February 5th, 2010 Hoang

I have seen the 3sixteen releases in the past and what impresses me the most about their collection is that there is a constant improvement over the last.  This collection shows off 3sixteen’s dedication to bringing in and designing quality type of clothing  that I would definitely sport.  I love the denim colored button shirt as they have that wrinkle free look about them.  I’m not a fan of the double breasted jackets but this one works.  It is a shorter, like cardigan type of deal, and it looks to go well with the khacki colored Chino’s.

Another standout of this collection is the Carhartt style jacket which can be seen below.  It’s a lighter type of jacket which is perfect for the warmer Spring nights.  You can never go wrong with a simple colored type of jacket like this.

The tie in this picture is hand made which probably means it has a defined fabric feel like a wool tie over silk; which I am a huge fan of.  I’m also digging the blazer in this collection too.  The blazer looks like a two button, slim style, with slim lapels.  Very cool look.

Kind of off subject, but I have seen some men wear their suit jacket with their jeans.  That looks very odd.  If you plan on wearing jeans and a suit type of jacket, look for a blazer or a sports coat, please!

Overall, very fantastic collection.  I will be keeping an eye out on this in the near future.  Here is the press release for 3sixteen’s Spring 10 Lookbook:

We are proud to present our Spring 2010 lookbook, shot on location at the beautiful Ace Hotel New York. Dubbed “The country’s most original new hotel” by the New York Times, the lobby of Ace Hotel was the perfect backdrop for our models, playing its own character in the story we aimed to portray. Our models (none of whom are professionals) and our photographers are all a part of the 3sixteen family, embodying a passion about our product that cannot be artificially manufactured.

Our Spring 2010 range continues our focus on supporting domestic businesses. Shirting fabrics are sourced and sewn together in New York along with our handmade ties. Leather for our footwear comes from the world-famous Horween Tannery in Chicago and is then assembled in Maine. Selvedge denim is flown in from Japan and expertly assembled with heavy duty hardware here in the US. The Spring pieces will begin shipping in late February to all of your favorite retailers and will also be available for sale on our webstore.
